OBLIQUE TELEPORT
I created OBLIQUE TELEPORT to give form to the feeling of our fragmented existence. At its heart, the piece sets a simple, linear motion against an unpredictable algorithm. Unlike a painting, which captures a single, controlled idea, this work intentionally leaves possibilities open, ensuring a different experience with every viewing. This isn't just a technical choice; it’s a way to mirror the feeling of being subject to forces beyond our control, much like the algorithms that quietly shape our reality.
The work is designed to induce a sense of dislocation. By denying a clear narrative, it reflects the fragmented attention demanded by our online environment, where jarring shifts in perspective have become normal. The goal is to make the chaotic, dislocated rhythm of the digital slipstream tangible—to show that our path forward is no longer a straight line, but a flickering state, perpetually rewritten by the logic of random disruption.
